to caravan holidays in Somerset with a difference, to a refined style of glamping at SwallowVale in Vintage touring caravans. This is an opportunity to experience carvanning from bygone days. Located in the beautiful Vale of Taunton, just over 2 miles from the famous market town of Taunton. We offer a choice of accommodation in authentic vintage caravans from the 1920s, 30s, and 50s. Each provides a glimpse into the past when touring was in its infancy and caravans such as these were the province of the well-heeled.

Each caravan has been restored and is sited on the edge of a peaceful 5 acre wild flower meadow on private land in the heart of beautiful Somerset countryside. The county town of Taunton is made even easier to reach with a Park and Ride facility a just short drive from SwallowVale.

Caravan accommodation is limited to 2 persons per caravan, and prices include bedding, linen and towels. Each caravan has an awning, windbreak, outdoor furniture, and a basic bbq. Lighting inside the caravans is original low voltage (no mains connection), giving a lovely glow of nostalgia.

There is access to a Modern full kitchen. Also purpose built toilet and shower facilities are close to hand for your convenience.

To enhance your weekend experience we are able to offer VINTAGE CAR and BICYCLE hire at preferential rates, enabling you to enjoy the local lanes and less used routes. Perhaps you might find a spot with a view to enjoy a picnic or pull in to one of the many hostelries to sample local produce.

Covered parking is available for Classic Cars only, on request.

Locally we can also recommend, 'Fine Dining' at the Mount Somerset Hotel within easy walking distance of SwallowVale.
